It addresses their investment attractiveness as a location for offshoring of business services. The authors adopted a broad definition of the industry that also includes research and development. The considerations pertaining to the sector were based on analysis of service centres with foreign capital: shared service centres (SSC), business process outsourcing (BPO/ITO) and research, and development (R&D).
